Common use of Principal Investigator Clause in Contracts

Principal Investigator. The “Principal Investigator” is [NAME] of University’s Department of [Department], who is responsible for performance of the Project on behalf of University. If [NAME] ceases to serve as Principal Investigator for any reason, University shall promptly notify Sponsor, and University and Sponsor shall use good faith efforts to identify a mutually acceptable replacement within sixty (60) days, failing which University or Sponsor may terminate the Agreement.
