Preferential Candidate Status. 28.1 Employees who apply and possess the qualifications and have satisfactory evaluations in their current position, will enjoy preferential candidate status (preferential candidate status means if all selection factors are judged equal by the President, the current employee shall be appointed), consistent with applicable Federal and State statutes relative to non-discrimination and equal employment opportunity and in compliance with the College's Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Program in effect at the time.
