Contractor’s Status Sample Clauses

Contractor’s Status. At all times during the term of this Framework Agreement the Contractor is an independent Contractor and nothing in this Framework Agreement establishes a contract of employment, a relationship of agency or partnership or a joint venture between the Parties. Accordingly, neither Party is authorised to act in the name of, or on behalf of, or otherwise bind the other Party save as expressly permitted by the terms of this Framework Agreement.
Contractor’s Status. It is understood that the Contractor is an independent contractor and is not to be considered an employee of the HA, or assume any right, privilege or duties of an employee, and shall save harmless the HA and its employees from claims suits, actions and costs of every description resulting from the Contractor's activities on behalf of the HA in connection with this Agreement.
Contractor’s Status. 9.1 In performing the obligations set forth in this Agreement, Contractor shall have the status of an independent contractor and Contractor shall not be considered to be an employee of the City for any purpose. All persons working for or under the direction of Contractor are its agents and employees and are not agents or employees of City. Contractor by virtue of this Agreement, has no authority to bind or incur any obligation on behalf of City. Except as expressly provided in Exhibit A, Contractor has no authority or responsibility to exercise any rights or power vested in the City. No agent, officer or employee of the City is to be considered an employee of the Contractor. It is understood by both Contractor and City that this Agreement shall not be construed or considered under any circumstances to create an employer-employee relationship or a joint venture.
Contractor’s Status. In the performance of the obligations set forth in this agreement, FIRST PARTY shall have the status of an independent contractor and shall not be deemed to be an employee, agent or officer of City.
Contractor’s Status. Neither the Contractor nor any party contracting with the Contractor shall be deemed to be an agent or employee of the District. The Contractor is and shall be an independent Contractor, and the legal relationship of any person performing services for the Contractor shall be one solely between that person and the Contractor.
