Common use of Posting of List Clause in Contracts

Posting of List. A list of the employees arranged in the order of their seniority shall be posted in a conspicuous place at each respective terminal, and shall be available to all employees. In case of a reduction of forces, employees longest in the service of the Employer at each respective terminal shall be retained, in accordance with the seniority provisions set forth in this Agreement and in the Local Riders. A revised seniority list shall be posted and a copy will be furnished to the Union and stewards every month. Any controversy over the seniority standing of any employee on the seniority list shall be submitted to the grievance procedure, Article 7.
