POSITION SEARCH. Set up a position on the chessboard using the mouse and piece palette. Right-click on the chessboard to call the local menu and to get quick access to the list of available hot-keys. Specify the possibility of castling, who is to move and the next move number. With the help of the Save file as button you can save the position for future use. To load one of the previously saved positions from the *.epd or *.brw files, press the Open file button, select the necessary position, and press <Copy (see Section 4.2 Position Search for details). Click on OK, then proceed to enter notation as usual.
POSITION SEARCH. The positional search function looks for a specific position, a partial position, or a structure. S 37 elect the Search | Position command in the main menu. (You can also click on the small down arrow next to the icon on the toolbar and select Position search in the drop-down list). In the Search dialog box there is a chessboard with the starting position where you can set up the position you want to search for. Suppose you are interested in the Alekhine Defense.
