Permanent Vacancy. 6.2.1 Whenever new vacancies occur, employees will be given preference. Such positions or vacancies will be filled based on skills, ability, experience, behaviour and qualifications. Seniority shall be the determining factor when the above elements are equal. 6.2.2 All unionised permanent vacancies will be posted for a period of seven (7) working days on the Company bulletin boards. If no suitable internal applicants are brought forward by this posting, the Company will fill the vacancy by other means. 6.2.3 Employees who are on vacation or on authorized leave of absence during the posting period must apply to the position within the established timelines.
