Order in Which Checks and Other Items are Paid. In general, we pay checks and other transactions in the order in which they are presented to us for payment, regardless of when you issued or authorized them. Insufficient balances on your account may result from 1) checks, 2) automated clearing house (ACH) debits such as online bill payment transactions, 3) payments authorized by an owner or other withdrawal requests, 4) items deposited by an owner and returned unpaid by the paying institution, and 5) imposition of service charges. Checks and ACH debits may be presented to us in batches or data files, and are paid when we process the data file. Checks in the same data file may be processed in any order we deem appropriate. You should be certain there are enough funds in your account at all times to pay checks or other transactions you authorize, or those checks or transactions will be handled according to the overdraft and insufficient funds terms of this Agreement, or paid under one of our check overdraft services if applicable.
