Common use of On-Call Assignment Clause in Contracts

On-Call Assignment. ‌ “On-call” is an assigned duty outside the normal work week assignment during which an employee must remain where the employee can be contacted by telephone or pager and is ready to immediately respond to perform an essential service for the department. An employee who is assigned on-call duty shall be compensated at the rate of $196.80 per weekly assignment of such duty.
