Common use of On-Call Assignment Clause in Contracts

On-Call Assignment. Designated qualified employees who are assigned to respond during non-scheduled work hours (primarily evenings, weekends, and holidays) at times of emergency shall be subject to on-call pay. The conditions and compensation regarding the assignment of employees to be available on-call are as follows. Consistent with the voluntary opt-in provision listed below, a list of employees assigned to be available and ready to respond to an emergency will be established and updated as needed by the Public Works Department. The Department will consider the following factors in establishing and maintaining on-call duty lists:
