Observation of Picket Lines. (a) Observation No Breach: Failure of an employee to cross an established picket line shall not be considered a breach of this Agreement. No employee shall be discriminated against for her/his failure to cross an established picket line. Employees who observe picket lines shall be recorded as being absent without pay.

The Agency agrees that during the life of this Agreement there will be no lockout. Upon notification confirmed in writing by the Employer to the Union that certain bargaining unit members covered by this Agreement are engaging in strike activity in violation of this Article, the Union shall advise such striking employees in writing, with a copy to the Department of Administrative Services, to return to work immediately. Such notification by the Union shall not constitute an admission that it has caused or counseled such strike activity.

  • Selection of Subcontractors, Procurement of Materials and Leasing of Equipment The contractor shall not discriminate on the grounds of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age or disability in the selection and retention of subcontractors, including procurement of materials and leases of equipment. Upon the expiration or termination of this Agreement, Contractor shall, at the Director’s election, either (a) provide, at no cost to the City, all Contracting Information related to this Agreement that is in the custody or possession of Contractor, or (b) preserve the Contracting Information related to this Agreement as provided by the records retention requirements applicable to the City pursuant to federal or state law or regulation, city ordinance or City policy.

  • Picket Lines The Employer agrees that, in the event of a legal picket line of another trade union being in existence at any of the Employer's stores within the Bargaining Unit, the Employer will in no way require or force members to report to work behind such a picket line. Nor will the Employer discipline or in any way discriminate against an employee who refuses to report to work while a legal picket line exists at his or her place of work.
