Notification and Approval Required. Unless otherwise modified by other sections within this Article, a request and approval to use annual leave must occur before the use of annual leave. An employee shall notify their immediate supervisor or designated representative of such absence no later than one-half (1/2) hour before the beginning of their shift, except in the event of an emergency.
