NONPYRAMIDING. There shall be no pyramiding or combination of one premium pay with another or of premium pay with overtime pay but only the highest applicable rate shall be paid except: 1. Where daily or weekly overtime and the night premium operate concurrently, the amount paid shall be time and one-half (1½) the straight-time hourly rate plus the night premium provided that this exception shall not apply to any work performed on Sundays or holidays. 2. Overtime shall be computed on the base straight-time hourly rate. 3. Work performed in the Meat Department in excess of eight (8) hours on Sundays shall be paid at time and one-half (1½) of the rate of pay for that day. 4. Where a Meat Department employee works a shift including both shift premium pay and daily overtime, he shall receive both but the shift premium pay shall not be included in computing the overtime rate.

  • Pyramiding 15.01 Except where expressly authorized in this Collective Agreement, there shall be no pyramiding of premiums. 15.02 Where two (2) or more applicable premiums are expressed as multiples of the Basic Rate of Pay, the Employee will be paid only one (1) such premium, that being the highest of the applicable premiums.
