Monthly Uptime Calculation and Service Levels for Storage Service Clause Samples

The "Monthly Uptime Calculation and Service Levels for Storage Service" clause defines how the availability of a storage service is measured and the minimum performance standards the provider must meet each month. Typically, this involves calculating the percentage of time the service is operational during a calendar month, excluding scheduled maintenance or other agreed exceptions. If the service falls below the agreed uptime threshold, the provider may owe service credits or other remedies to the customer. This clause ensures transparency in service performance and provides a mechanism for accountability if the provider fails to meet reliability commitments.
Monthly Uptime Calculation and Service Levels for Storage Service. A. “Total Storage Transactions” is the set of all storage transactions, other than Excluded Transactions, attempted within a one-hour interval across all storage accounts in the Storage Service in a given subscription. B. “Excluded Transactions” are storage transactions that do not count toward either Total Storage Transactions or Failed Storage Transactions. Excluded Transactions include pre- authentication failures; authentication failures; attempted transactions for storage accounts over their prescribed quotas; creation or deletion of containers, tables, or queues; clearing of queues; and copying blobs between storage accounts. C. “Error Rate” is the total number of Failed Storage Transactions divided by the Total Storage Transactions during a set time interval (currently set at one hour).
