Common use of Minimum Hours Clause in Contracts

Minimum Hours. All employees shall be paid their regular hourly rate for each hour worked except where employed for less than four (4) consecutive hours per day, in which event they shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours pay. An employee who is called for work and, upon reporting, finds that his or her services are not required, shall receive two (2) hours' pay. The above regulations apply to students who work on a day which is not a school day or on a day on which the store is open for night shopping. A student who is called for work on a school day on which the store is not open for night shopping must work a minimum of two (2) hours or be paid for two (2) hours.
