Middle School Alternative Site Voluntary Transfers. Teachers who obtain positions at Middle School Alternative Sites, pursuant to District posting and hiring staffing processes, will be treated as if on a leave of absence from their current building. As such, in the event the teacher chooses to return to the same building that they were in prior to the move to the alternative site, the teacher shall be offered the same position (or if not possible, a comparable position) based on seniority and licensure in their original building. As with normal staffing processes, prior to March 1st of the relevant school year, the teacher must inform Employee Services of his/her intentions to return to his/her original building for the following school year.
