Meal allowance – holidays. (a) An employee not engaged in continuous work, required to work or public holiday for more than four hours without being notified on the previous day or earlier that they will be so required to work, shall either be supplied with a meal by the employer or paid the amount prescribed in clause 36.9 above for the meal taken during each crib break. Provided that such payment need not be made to employees living in the same locality as their workshop who can reasonably return home for meals.
