Manitoba Public Insurance Wage Loss Replacement Benefits. Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) provides wage loss replacement benefits for loss of wages resulting from motor vehicle accidents regardless of the existence of sick leave benefits provided by the Employer. Members shall not receive combined salary and MPI wage loss benefits in excess of one hundred percent (100%) of salary from the two (2) sources for the same absence from work.
