Common use of Maintenance of Benefit Coverage Clause in Contracts

Maintenance of Benefit Coverage. A regular employee, while on temporary layoff or unpaid leave of absence of up to six (6) months shall continue to maintain their coverage in the Medical, Dental, Extended Health, Group Life Insurance, Accidental Death and Dismemberment and Long Term Disability benefit plans by paying one hundred percent (100%) of the costs of the premiums beginning the first day of the month following that in which the layoff or leave occurs.
