Liners. This section covers the furnishing, installation and testing of geotextile and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) liners for fuel oil storage tank area, wastewater retention ponds, berms, biofiltration ▇▇▇▇▇▇ if required by local regulations, and infiltration trenches if required by local regulations. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, equipment, tools and perform all work in connection with the design, installation and construction of the liners. Liners shall be weighted down at the toe of the slope with sand or weight sealed into cavities or pockets. --------------------------------------------------- ------------------------ EPC - Exhibit B ------------------------ TENASKA GEORGIA GENERATION PROJECT Page 28 of 132 --------------------------------------------------- ------------------------ --------------------------------------------------- ------------------------ The liners shall be manufactured and installed by firms and subcontractors which have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the satisfactory production and installation of liners similar to the types specified. The Contractor shall provide a 20-year warranty against manufacturing defects and material degradation and a 5-year warranty against installation defects. The liners shall be installed in accordance with manufacturers' recommendations. Subgrades shall be properly prepared and compacted and shall have all sharp rocks, objects, vegetation and stubble removed. The subgrade shall be sterilized prior to application of the liners. Geotextiles for the liner subgrade, liner protection or filter fabric as required by the liner manufacture's recommendations shall be a non-woven fabric inert to common chemicals and hydrocarbons and resistant to ultraviolet radiation, mildew, rot and insects. HDPE liners shall be extruded in uniform sheets free of holes, tears, or other manufacturing defects. HDPE liners shall have a minimum thickness of 40 mils. Geotextiles and HDPE liners shall conform to applicable ASTM standards.
Liners. 1. If geotechnical testing confirms the need for a liner, acceptable options include one of the following and shall be approved by the Engineer for use: (a) six to 12 inches of clay soil that meets the specifications below, (b) a 30 mm poly-liner, (c) bentonite, (d) use of chemical additives, or (e) a design prepared by a professional engineer registered in the state of Georgia. For wet detention ponds designed to have a clay liner, 4” of topsoil shall be added to the top of the clay liner. The topsoil may be amended organic material in order to support plant growth depending on the soil analysis. If a geosynthetic liner is used to reduce exfiltration from the wet detention pond, a minimum of 1 foot of soil shall separate the geosynthetic liner from the planting surface.
Liners. The contractor will provide appropriately sized liners for cans/receptacles/containers. It is recommended that refuse liners be made from recycled material and be thick enough to prevent breakage during normal handling.

  • Welding Welding and use of cutting torches or cutoff saws will be permitted only in areas that have been cleared or are free of all material capable of carrying fire. Flammable debris and vegetation must be removed from within a minimum 10-foot radius of all welding and cutting operations. A shovel and a 5-gallon standard backpack water container filled and with handpump attached shall be immediately available for use in the event of a fire start. Pursuant to 2 CFR 180 and 2 CFR 417, Purchaser shall certify and obtain certifications from its Subcontractors regarding debarment, suspension, ineligibility, and voluntary exclusion, including additional Subcontractors obtained after award of this contract. “Subcontractors” are participants in lower tier covered transactions. Purchaser may rely upon a certification of a prospective Subcontractor that it is not proposed for debarment under 48 CFR 9.4, debarred, suspended, ineligible, or voluntarily excluded from participating in covered transactions or timber sales, unless Purchaser knows that the certification is erroneous. Purchaser shall keep the certifications of its Subcontractors on file until timber sale Termination Date and any extensions thereof, and will provide a copy at the written request of Contracting Officer. Nothing contained in the foregoing shall be construed to require establishment of a system of records in order to render in good faith the certification required by this Subsection. The knowledge and information of Purchaser is not required to exceed that which is normally possessed by a prudent person in the ordinary course of business dealings. If Purchaser knowingly enters into a timber sale transaction with a person who is proposed for debarment under 48 CFR 9.4, suspended, debarred, ineligible, or voluntarily excluded from participation in covered transactions or timber sales, in addition to other remedies available to the Government, Forest Service may pursue available remedies, including suspension and/or debarment. Contracting Officer shall provide a copy of Forms AD-1047 Certification Regarding Debarment, Suspension and Other Responsibility Matters – Primary Covered Transactions and AD-1048 Certification Regarding Debarment, Suspension, Ineligibility and Voluntary Exclusion – Lower Tier Covered Transactions to the Purchaser. Purchaser shall complete form AD-1047 and provide to the Contracting Officer upon request. Purchaser shall require each subcontractor to complete form AD-1048 and provide to the Contracting Officer upon request.

  • Rubric The rubrics are a scoring tool used for the Educator’s self-assessment, the formative assessment, the formative evaluation and the summative evaluation. The districts may use either the rubrics provided by ESE or comparably rigorous and comprehensive rubrics developed or adopted by the district and reviewed by ESE.

  • Trash Tenant shall not allow anything to be placed on the outside of the Building, nor shall anything be thrown by Tenant out of the windows or doors, or down the corridors or ventilating ducts or shafts, of the Building. All trash and refuse shall be placed in receptacles provided by Landlord for the Building or by Tenant for the Premises.

  • Containers An extra charge will be made for returnable containers and special shipping devices (such as oil barrels, reels, tarpaulins, commutator clamps, etc.) where they are consigned to the Purchaser, but refund will be made if returned in good condition to the factory, or other points designated by EXION, within ninety (90) days from the date of original shipment, charges prepaid.

  • Lockers Where employees are required to change their uniforms in the course of their normal duties, and where space is available, lockers, which can be locked, shall be provided.
