Common use of Length of Employment Clause in Contracts

Length of Employment. “Length of Employment” shall mean the period of time since an employee last became a full-time, part-time or temporary employee for purposes of calculating all entitlements pursuant to this Agreement including, but not limited to, vacation, bonus vacation and pre- retirement leave and “Length of Service” shall have a similar meaning. Conversion from full-time, part-time or temporary status to casual status shall be considered a break in service and no period of casual employment or prior full-time, part-time or temporary employment shall be included in an employee’s length of employment or length of service even when a casual employee subsequently becomes a full-time, part-time or temporary employee.”
