Legal Commitments. Employees shall be granted leave for legal commitments and shall receive their regular salary while serving as jurors or witnesses under subpoena in any case, except when appearing as a party in a non-job related case. All monies received may be retained by the employee. In the event that an employee has taken legal action against the District, said employee will not be granted leave nor be paid by the District when attending legal proceedings/meetings regarding the case, except for legal actions taken as a result of a grievance of this contract.
