Common use of Lead Hand Definition Clause in Contracts

Lead Hand Definition. A regularly scheduled Hourly Employee who directs, coordinates and supervises the work of Hourly Employees under the direction of his/her supervisor within his/her particular unit or section. However, he/she shall not have the authority to hire, suspend, dismiss or discipline Hourly Employees. All leads provided for in this agreement shall be working leads. It is understood that a lead hand will participate in the working operation.
