Lead Differential. All employees formally assigned Lead duties by their supervisor in writing for ten (10) consecutive calendar days or longer shall be compensated five percent (5%) above their current rate, provided the lead duties are not included in the classification for the employee’s position. Lead duties are where, on a recurring daily basis, the employee has been directed to perform substantially all of the following functions: orient and train new employees; assign and reassign tasks to accomplish prescribed work efficiently; give direction to workers concerning work procedures; review work of employees for conformance to standards; provide informal assessment of workers’ performance to the supervisor; attend ISP’s and monthlies with follow-up on assigned tasks; and, coordinate staff scheduling and time keeping. Assignment of Lead duties shall not be made in a manner that circumvents the administration of this Section. An employee performing lead duties may request an adjustment to his/her patient care assignment if necessary to accomplish lead duties, emergent, or emergency situations.

Lead Differential a) The lead role whether included in the job description or paid for through this differential will be defined to include but not limited to these functions:
Lead Differential. Employees appointed the lead position by department manager shall receive a premium of one dollar ($1.00) per hour over their base rate for pay for all hours worked in that capacity.
Lead Differential. The Lead Maintenance Assistant and the Lead Transportation Assistant positions will be paid a differential of $3.00 more per hour for his/her regular contracted hours. Extra and substitute work outside his/her regular contracted hours will be paid at the regular rate of pay for the duties he/she are performing. Any overtime pay will follow Article 18 Overtime, and any overtime worked outside the contracted day must be pre-approved by the Superintendent or Designee.
Lead Differential. Should the School District elect to name a night or satellite location lead vehicle technician, such night or satellite location lead technician shall receive 34 cents per hour more than the rate applicable in Article 5, Section 1 for 2018-2019 and 35 cents per hour more for 2019-2020. Should the School District elect to name a day lead vehicle technician, such day lead vehicle technician shall receive 75 cents per hour more than the rate applicable in Article 5, Section 1 for 2018-2019 and 77 cents per hour more for 2019-2020.

Lead Differential. The District may, in its sole discretion, select and assign a bargaining unit employee to perform lead duties in each of the following sections: Blood Bank, Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Meditech, and Quality Assurance. In such situations, the District will pay the employee a five percent (5%) differential above his/her straight time hourly rate for the actual hours assigned to and worked as a lead. The parties agree that leads coordinate the workflow among employees within the section; provide technical or functional support to employees; work with management to plan and meet all applicable regulatory requirements, e.g. CLIA and TJC, within the Department; inform District management as it relates to Unit/Department resources, staffing needs, and equipment needs; and perform the regular work of the lead’s classification. The parties further agree that leads do not act in the role of a bona fide supervisor and are not given any authority for performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, or decisions to hire or terminate bargaining unit employees. An employee assigned as a lead will not be removed from the lead role until the employee has received a reasonable opportunity to improve his/her performance as a lead. Such opportunity will include being placed on a Performance Improvement Plan. If the employee has not met the requirements of the Performance Improvement Plan – and is not otherwise being discharged pursuant to Article 25 – the employee will be removed from the lead role. The District’s determination to remove an employee from the lead role shall not be grievable. If an employee assigned as a lead is absent from work, the District may, in its sole discretion: (1) chose to assign another bargaining unit employee to act as a lead while the employee is absent; (2) chose to have the work performed by the Department Manager/Director while the employee is absent; (3) have the lead work performed by x combination of a bargaining unit employee and the Department Manager/Director while the employee is absent; or (4) not have the lead work performed while the employee is absent.
Lead Differential. Lead personnel selected by the Employer under Article 6, Lead Personnel, shall receive additional compensation in the amount of fifty (50) cents per hour above their applicable straight-time hourly wage rate under this Agreement only for days worked in a lead capacity.
Lead Differential. Xxxxxxx agrees to provide a worker is who assigned lead responsibilities on an ongoing basis a lead differential of $3,000.00 per year, above their regular rate of pay. Workers who are assigned to lead responsibilities on a temporary basis shall receive the $3,000.00 lead differential on a prorated basis equivalent to the period of time he/she is assigned the lead responsibilities. The lead differential shall be a stipend and shall not be part of a worker's base rate of pay.
