Job Bidding. A. Each job posting will show the posting from classification, either Customer Service Associate or Janitor. The other repetitive functions may be assisting supervisors as starters during busy periods or assisting management by working in the Customer Service office answering phones and accept no more applications giving out schedule and fare information. All job postings will provide for employees to do "other duties as assigned."
(b) Bids for the vacancyjob must be made by application within seven calendar days after the day the job is posted. From If none of the applications filedemployees who apply for the job have the ability and necessary qualifications to efficiently perform the work of the particular job, the Company may select any person for the job in accordance with the seniority provisions. The job vacated by any employee who received the job opening shall determine those be filled in the same manner.

(d) Any employee placed on the job which was duly posted and which was not bid within the seven calendar days stipulated shall have this job as his/her own as if he/she had bid it.
(e) During the bidding period, the Company will attempt to place temporarily on the job the employee who may eventually get the job, or fill such position by using a part-time employee.
(f) Whenever an employee who loses his permanent job has seniority, such employee must select another job within three calendar days from this groupthe time he loses his original permanent job.
(g) Each employee is to train and study at his/her own initiative. Training will be provided to all full-time employees on request to make them capable to perform all job functions. All employees will be paid their regular hourly rate while training. In order to bid a job, if there be the employee must pass tests for the job.
(h) In the event of a change of start time of more than one (1)hour, shall fill the vacancy as hereinafter set out:
(1) The senior qualified applicant. Job Bidding. A. When Whenever a permanent vacancy occurs in any job classification covered by this Agreement and the Employer determines it becomes necessary to add employees to any seniority fill such vacancy, the following procedure shall be followed:

Job Bidding. 35.1 Employees will be notified of any new position or vacancy to be filled by the Employer and such new position or vacancy will be posted on the bulletin board. All internal postings will be placed on a bulletin board at every Metro location. One sign-up sheet will be maintained at the location designated on the posting. Shop Posting. Notice of non-supervisory vacancies shall be posted on the bulletin board for a period of four (4) work days before the vacancy is filled. Employees interested in such posted jobs shall sign the posted notice. Qualifications being reasonably equal among those employees in the next lower classification who have met the minimum qualifications, seniority shall apply in filling vacancies. After the new employee is hired, the "work schedule" shall be posted immediately and will be picked by seniority in that classification. Minimum qualifications must be reasonably related to the job. The provisions of this section shall not apply to entry-level "C" mechanic and entry-level utility positions. Office Posting.
A. The Employer shall post notices of all permanent position vacancies in classifications of work covered by this Agreement. D. The Employer agrees to provide the Union with written notice prior to creating any new job titles within the office, exclusive of managerial, professional, confidential and/or supervisory positions. The parties shall, within ten (10) days of such notice, enter into negotiations to establish a wage rate for the new position(s), and in the event no agreement is reached the dispute may be first submitted to the WERC for mediation and, failing resolution, may be submitted by either party to arbitration pursuant to Article 8 of the Company Agreement. The arbitrator shall be limited to selecting the proposed wage rate of one (1) of the parties.
E. In case a convalescent office employee is able to work limited periods of the day, every effort shall be made to allow the employee to work such hours as he/she can handle.
35.2 Operators and shop employees promoted or transferred into another classification shall enter that classification at the same progression step held immediately prior to the promotion or transfer.
35.3 Office employees promoted into a temporary nature, classification with a higher rate of pay shall be placed at the nearest salary step of the higher classification which provides for a five percent (5%) increase in the employee's base rate of pay. Office employees transferred into a classification with the same rate of pay shall enter that is, classification at the same progression step held immediately prior to the transfer.
35.4 In the event that any shop employee holding a permanent position shall have secured a leave of less than absence of at least three (3) months or it is anticipated that an employee will be off on long term illness exceeding sixty (60) days' duration, such vacancy thus created either directly or indirectly may be posted as a temporary vacancy. If the Employer so decides to fill the vacancy, such temporary vacancies may be filled in the same manner as "permanent" position vacancies and employees filling such position vacancies shall in all ways be treated as other full-time employees except that such employees shall have the title of "acting" added to their job title. Should the employee holding permanent status in that position return to work in that position, the "acting" employee, if said employee held a position with the Employer immediately prior to the temporary appointment, shall return to that position, and pay and other benefits to that employee shall be as though no temporary appointment had taken place. In the event that it is determined that the "permanent" employee will not return, the "acting" employee will become the permanent employee.
35.5 When there is a vacancy in the day shop or an increase in personnel in the day shop, the senior night employee shall be permitted to advance to the day shop except in case an expert is needed temporarily. Provisions may be made for training new employees in the day shop before going on night shift for a period not to exceed six (6) months. Senior day employees shall not be listed as a vacancy and it shall rotated to night shift if qualified junior employees are working days.
35.6 Junior shop employees who have advanced to maintenance classification cannot be posted for biddingbumped back to a lower classification by senior shop employees who had passed their opportunity to advance to a higher classification.

From the applications filed, the Company shall determine those who are qualified, and from this group, if there be more than one (1), shall fill the vacancy as hereinafter set out:
(1) The senior qualified applicant. However, in jobs in Pay ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇Level 7, the senior job bid applicant will be selected except where physical qualifications and/or specific skills are necessary to perform the required work such as the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
(2) If it is determined by the Company that there are no qualified applicants and the Company is unable to hire qualified employees within thirty (30) days from the date the vacancy is posted, then the Company shall give consideration to those applicants, or those employees considered not qualified under Paragraph D of this Section, whose records would seem to indicate they could learn satisfactorily to perform the required work before a new inexperienced employee shall be hired and trained for the work assignment.
(3) Assuming there are no experienced qualified applicants and there are no applicants whose record would seem to indicate that they could learn satisfactorily to perform the required work, then the Company may fill the vacancy by the transfer or hire of any employee or applicant.
G. The Company shall, within two (2) weeks, transfer the successful bidder to the vacancy.
H. Any employee who fills a vacancy by this bidding procedure and who fails to perform the job satisfactorily shall be returned to their his previous assignment, department, and/or seniority classification, provided their his seniority will permit such return.
I. Any vacancies caused by this procedure may be filled by the Company by recall or restoration before transfer or hire. The filling of the vacancy left by the job bidder will be filled subject to the possible failure of the job bidder on the posted vacancy, but the transfer of a replacement for the job bidder, if the job bidder fails to perform the job satisfactorily, will not be considered a temporary assignment and no special pay provisions will be involved.

Job Bidding. A. Section 1. When it becomes necessary to add employees to any seniority classification, such vacancies, except those created by job bidding, will be subject to job bidding after the recall or restoration of all employees with recall or restoration rights to the seniority classification.
B. Any vacancy which in the best judgment of the Company is of a temporary nature, that is, of less than sixty (60) days' duration, shall not be listed as a vacancy and it shall not be posted for bidding.
C. The occurs within a Job Classification the Company shall post the vacancy to be filled on bulletin boards in the plant. No vacancy shall be posted during the annual inventory and vacation shutdown perioda bid for that Job Classification. The posting shall list contain at a minimum the seniority classification Job Classification, Rate of Pay and department Shift. All Job postings shall be posted on Tuesday of each week and remain posted until Thursday of that week. Employees who so desire to move to the posted Job Classification may sign their name to the bid sheet. The most senior employee in which the plant who has signed their name to a bid shall be awarded the opening. The vacancy created by moving an employee to their awarded position shall be bid in the same manner. The next vacancy so created shall be filled at the discretion of the Company. In the event an employee is disqualified the next most senior employee who signed the bid sheet shall be awarded the Job Classification. In the event the next most senior employee is unable to qualify the vacancy exists and shall be filled at the qualifications discretion of the Company.
Section 2. When a position for the work assignment. It is agreed that Team Lead or in Quality Assurance comes available the Company shall have post and interest sheet in Human Resources for a period of five (5) working days. Employees interested in the right position may sign the interest sheet. The Company will select the candidate it believes is best suited, in its discretion, for the position. Employees must maintain acceptable attendance, safety performance, and a clean disciplinary record (no written warnings) to prescribe the qualifications necessary for each posted vacancy.
D. maintain their position as a Team Lead. Any employee who is working in the seniority classification and in the department in which the vacancy exists unable to do so may request from the supervisor of the department assignment to the vacancy. If more than one such employee requests assignment to the vacancy, the supervisor will transfer the employee with the greatest seniority to the vacancy, provided they are qualified to perform the work, and provided the employee's request has been made before the expiration of the posting date referred to in Paragraph F below. In such an event, the vacancy created be disqualified by the transfer Company and placed in to any open position.
Section 3. Production employees interested in moving into maintenance may notify Human Resources at any time. Interested employees will be considered for an open position in maintenance providing they have the vacancy to be filled by job bidding.
E. Any employee with seniority, excluding those employees in the seniority classification within the department in which the vacancy exists, who can qualify or believes to be qualified, may apply for the vacancy by submitting a completed "Application for Vacancy" form to the LR/HR Department within the period specified.
F. When the vacancy has been posted for two (2) working days (48 hours), the Company shall remove the posting from the bulletin boards and accept no more applications for the vacancy. Job Bidding. 35.1 Employees will be notified of any new position or vacancy to be filled by the Employer and such new position or vacancy will be posted on the bulletin board. All internal postings will be placed on a bulletin board at every Metro location. One sign-up sheet will be maintained at the location designated on the posting. Shop Posting. Notice of non-supervisory vacancies shall be posted on the bulletin board for a period of four (4) work days before the vacancy is filled. Employees interested in such posted jobs shall sign the posted notice. Qualifications being reasonably equal among those employees in the next lower classification who have met the minimum qualifications, seniority shall apply in filling vacancies. After the new employee is hired, the "work schedule" shall be posted immediately and will be picked by seniority in that classification. Minimum qualifications must be reasonably related to the job. The provisions of this section shall not apply to entry-level "C" mechanic and entry-level utility positions. Office Posting.
A. The Employer shall post notices of all permanent position vacancies in classifications of work covered by this Agreement. The Employer may decide not to fill a vacancy or pending vacancy and shall notify the Union of such intentions. Vacancy notices shall be posted on all bulletin boards used by unit employees and such other places as the Employer decides. Such notices shall be posted for at least five (5) working days which days shall be in two (2) separate weeks before the final date of acceptance of applications. Notices shall be as informative as is reasonably possible. When it becomes necessary to add employees to any seniority classificationminimum qualifications are required of applicants, such vacancies, except those created by information shall be provided on the job bidding, will position notice. The Employer shall have the option to fill or not fill such vacancies.
C. Such temporary vacancies shall be filled in the same manner as "permanent" position vacancies and employees filling such position vacancies shall in all ways be treated as other full-time employees except that such employees shall have the title of "acting" added to their job title. Should the employee holding permanent status in that position return to work in that position, the "acting"
D. The Employer agrees to provide the Union with written notice prior to creating any new job titles within the office, exclusive of managerial, professional, confidential and/or supervisory positions. The parties shall, within ten (10) days of such notice, enter into negotiations to establish a wage rate for the new position(s), and in the event no agreement is reached the dispute may be first submitted to the WERC for mediation and, failing resolution, may be submitted by either party to arbitration pursuant to Article 8 of the Company Agreement. The arbitrator shall be limited to selecting the proposed wage rate of one (1) of the parties.
E. In case a convalescent office employee is able to work limited periods of the day, every effort shall be made to allow the employee to work such hours as he/she can handle.
35.2 Operators, office employees, and shop employees promoted or transferred into another classification shall enter that classification at the same progression step held immediately prior to the promotion or transfer.
35.3 In the event that any shop employee holding a temporary nature, permanent position shall have secured a leave of absence of at least three (3) months or it is anticipated that is, of less than an employee will be off on long term illness exceeding sixty (60) days' duration, such vacancy thus created either directly or indirectly may be posted as a temporary vacancy. If the Employer so decides to fill the vacancy, such temporary vacancies may be filled in the same manner as "permanent" position vacancies and employees filling such position vacancies shall in all ways be treated as other full-time employees except that such employees shall have the title of "acting" added to their job title. Should the employee holding permanent status in that position return to work in that position, the "acting" employee, if said employee held a position with the Employer immediately prior to the temporary appointment, shall return to that position, and pay and other benefits to that employee shall be as though no temporary appointment had taken place. In the event that it is determined that the "permanent" employee will not return, the "acting" employee will become the permanent employee.
35.4 When there is a vacancy in the day shop or an increase in personnel in the day shop, the senior night employee shall be permitted to advance to the day shop except in case an expert is needed temporarily. Provisions may be made for training new employees in the day shop before going on night shift for a period not to exceed six (6) months. Senior day employees shall not be listed as a vacancy and it shall rotated to night shift if qualified junior employees are working days.
35.5 Junior shop employees who have advanced to maintenance classification cannot be posted for biddingbumped back to a lower classification by senior shop employees who had passed their opportunity to advance to a higher classification.
C. The Company 35.6 A. Recruitment for job position vacancies for office, full-time main line motor coach operators, entry-level utility and entry-level "C" Mechanic positions shall post be open and competitive. In the vacancy event that a bargaining unit member(s) applies for one of the above mentioned positions, at least the most senior bargaining unit member(s) equivalent to the number of positions to be filled on bulletin boards in who meets the plant. No vacancy minimum qualifications required at the time of application for the position shall be posted during the annual inventory and vacation shutdown period. The posting shall list the seniority classification and department in which the vacancy exists and the qualifications for the work assignment. It is agreed that the Company shall have the right to prescribe the qualifications necessary for each posted vacancy.
