Common use of Insurance for Part-Time Employees Clause in Contracts

Insurance for Part-Time Employees. Part-time employees who average a minimum of thirty (30) hours per week for a continuous three (3) month period, may elect to be covered by the Employer's health insurance program for the following three (3) months period. Health insurance coverage may continue as long as the minimum thirty (30) hours per week average for a three (3) month period is met. In the event an employee should not qualify for subsequent quarterly coverage, after once having qualified, the employee may elect to continue coverage under the group insurance program at his/her expense subject to the carrier's rules.
