Common use of Initiation Fee Clause in Contracts

Initiation Fee. All new employees hired shall have deducted from the first pay due to the said employee a sum equivalent to the initiation fee as certified from time to time by the Secretary-Treasurer of the Union. The aforementioned employees, as a condition of employment, shall be required to maintain their membership in the Union in good standing.
