Common use of Informal Procedure Clause in Contracts

Informal Procedure. If a member of the bargaining unit believes he/she has a grievance, he/she shall first discuss the matter in good faith with his/her immediate supervisor in an effort to resolve the problem informally. This action shall take place within fifteen (15) days after the grievant knew or could reasonably have been expected to know of the event giving rise to the grievance.

Informal Procedure. If A bargaining unit member who believes a member grievance has occurred shall begin the grievance procedure by informally discussing the matter with her immediate supervisor within ten (10) working days from the date of the occurrence or the date the grievant should reasonably have known of the occurrence of the alleged violation of the Agreement with the object of informally resolving the matter.
