Common use of Independent Research Clause in Contracts

Independent Research. Except as expressly provided for herein or in the Collaboration Agreement, each party acknowledges and agrees that Fuso and GenVec shall have the right to engage in their own research and development activities outside the Research Program. Neither party shall, by virtue of this Agreement, have any right, title or interest in or to such independent activities or to the income or profits derived therefrom.
