If Worked. All hours worked on a Holiday during the regular work period shall be paid for at double time. All other hours worked will be paid for at double time. In addition, the employee shall receive a holiday allowance which shall equal eight (8) hours pay at straight time. Notwithstanding the above, an employee absent on leave for Union Business shall receive their holiday allowance for any holiday falling during such leave of absence (excluding leaves of absence in excess of calendar days). When a Holiday falls during a day employee’s vacation, the employee will be allowed to take the Holiday at a time which is mutually agreeable between the employee and the employee’s supervisor. The Holiday will be paid at eight (8) hours straight time in the pay period during which it is taken. Effective January when a Holiday falls on a hour shift employee’s vacation day, the employee will receive hours Stat Holiday pay plus a hour compensation day. ARTICLE VACATIONS
