Common use of Holiday Shift Clause in Contracts

Holiday Shift. A. If a full-time Employee is regularly scheduled or starts to work on the day before the holiday and continues to work into the holiday, he shall be guaranteed eight (8) hours of continuous work at the regular straight time hourly rate. B. If a full-time Employee is regularly scheduled or starts to work on a holiday and continues to work into the following day, he shall be guaranteed eight (8) hours of work at two times his regular straight time rate.

Hours worked prior to his/her regular scheduled starting time shall not be credited to his/her eight (8) hours’ guarantee.
