Health Maintenance Organization. Effective July 1, 2001, all new employees or employees currently on the traditional health plan will only be offered the traditional health plan. Teachers who are currently participating in the Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) program can remain in the program but will not be able to participate in the district’s prescription discount drug program unless they elect to participate in the traditional health plan.
