HEALTH AND DENTAL PLAN COVERAGE IN CONJUNCTION WITH SDI. For purposes of determining eligibility for the County's hospital and medical care contributions and dental coverage, employees who are receiving a supplement to disability insurance benefits paid from and charged to accrued sick leave, discretionary major medical supplemental paid sick leave, vacation leave, compensating time off and/or floating holiday balances shall be regarded as on full-time paid status for their regular work schedules with regard to the days for which such supplement is paid. The group health care providers will permit employees, who are dropped from health and/or dental plan coverage because of exhaustion of their accrued sick leave, discretionary major medical supplemental paid sick leave, vacation leave, compensating time off and/or floating holiday balances, to re-enter the group plans upon returning to their former work schedules, if the employee is otherwise eligible pursuant to Section 14 herein.
