Common use of Grievance Review/Labor Relations Clause in Contracts

Grievance Review/Labor Relations. If the grievance cannot be resolved under Step 2, the Association may, within twenty (20) calendar days of receipt of the Chief of Police’s decision, convene a meeting between the Association’s representative and the Labor Relations Division to attempt to resolve the grievance on a mutually acceptable basis. Labor Relations shall respond in writing to the Association with a copy to the grievant within ten (10) calendar days following the meeting. If the grievance is filed directly at Step Three, Labor Relations shall meet with and reply to the employee within twenty-five (25) calendar days of receipt of the grievance.
