Common use of General Supervisory Responsibility Clause in Contracts

General Supervisory Responsibility. Each teacher is generally responsible to the immediate supervisor, and directly responsible to the principal of the building to which the teacher is assigned. Teachers have responsibility for all students assigned to them for specified periods of time. Also, teachers have general responsibility for student conduct during the full length of the teaching day. When a teacher is assigned a particular area to supervise not in the general proximity of the classroom, it is understood that the assigned area will then be a primary area of responsibility.
