General Increase. The overall increase is a pay increase that is agreed upon by the parties to a collective agreement in collective bargaining. The overall increase is paid at the time agreed by the parties to the collective agreement. The overall increase is paid to all employees who are in an employment relationship with an employer operating in a sector covered by the collective agreement. The employer pays the overall increase to all employees who are in an employment relationship at the time of the increase.
