Common use of Future Legislation Clause in Contracts

Future Legislation. In the event that any future legislation renders null and void any provision of this Agreement, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect for the term of the Agreement, and the parties hereto shall consult with a view to reaching mutually agreeable provision to be substituted for the provisions so rendered null and void. In the event any future legislation materially alters the intent of any clause in this Agreement, either party may request consultation with a view to seeking an amendment or clarification of the clause.
