Common use of Future Legislation Clause in Contracts

Future Legislation. Where any provision of this Agreement conflicts with the provisions of any public statute or regulation of the province, the provisions of the public statute or regulation shall prevail. In the event that any law passed by the Legislature of the Province, applying to employees covered by this Agreement, renders null and void any provisions of this Agreement, the remaining provisions of the Agreement shall remain in effect for the term of this Agreement, and the Parties to this Agreement shall negotiate a mutually agreeable provision to be substituted for the provision so rendered null and void. In the event no agreement can be reached, the Parties may submit the matter to Adjudication, or the chairman of the Public Service Labour Relations Board as outlined in the Public Service Labour Relations Act.
