Common use of From Short-Term Absence Clause in Contracts

From Short-Term Absence. An employee intending to return to work must notify the appropriate administrator (or designee) at least one hour before the end of the regular working day prior to the day of anticipated return. If such notice is not given and both the employee and a replacement or substitute report for work, only the replacement/ substitute is entitled to work and to be paid for that day.
