Common use of Formal Performance Counseling Clause in Contracts

Formal Performance Counseling. (a) When it appears to an employee’s supervisor that such employee is at risk for receiving an overall year end performance appraisal rating that is below “Meets Requirements,” the supervisor shall notify the employee, in the presence of a shop xxxxxxx, of such risk. The supervisor shall, where possible, also give the employee a reasonable opportunity to correct specific problem(s) before giving the employee his performance appraisal.
