Common use of Forced Callback Clause in Contracts

Forced Callback. Forced callback will be used as a last resort when shifts cannot be filled by other methods described in this Agreement. Forced Callback must be coordinated by the Fire Chief, Assistant Chief or designee, subject to the following: a. Employees will be called back for forced overtime based upon a list, using a reverse order of seniority. An employee forced back will then be placed at the bottom of the list. The list will reset at the end of each calendar year. (exceptions for Forced Callback are Employees that have Child Care issues and Pre-planned vacation) b. Employees must be qualified for the position they are required to work in a forced callback. c. Employees will only work 24 consecutive hours of forced callback unless mutually agreed upon by the employee and the Chief/Assistant Chief or designee.
