Common use of Food Waste Clause in Contracts

Food Waste. “Food Waste” means all edible or inedible food such as, but not limited to, 300 fruits, vegetables, meat, poultry, seafood, shellfish, bones, rice, beans, pasta, bread, dairy, coffee grounds, 301 and eggshells. Food Waste excludes fats, oils, and grease when such materials are Source Separated 302 from other Food Waste. Food Waste includes food soiled paper, including paper plates, paper cups, 303 napkins, paper bags, and any other items as determined by the City.
