Common use of Firearms Training Clause in Contracts

Firearms Training. All sworn officers are required to complete firearms training in accordance with Department Policy. The Department will continue to make a reasonable attempt to schedule such training during an employee’s regular shift. In the event this training is scheduled during an employee’s off duty time, the employee will be paid overtime at the rate of time and one-half (1½) for time spent in training, in accordance with Section 11.2 of this Agreement.
