Family Illnesses Clause Samples

Family Illnesses. Employees shall be entitled to use up to an overall maximum of five (5) days of accumulated sick leave per fiscal year to attend to the illness or injury of that Employee’s spouse, children, or parents. Where such cases occur, entitlement under this article may not be accessed concurrently by both caregivers who are Employees within the scope of this Agreement.
Family Illnesses. For household family illnesses where the employee's presence is required, the employee may choose to use: • Personal leave (if available) • Accrued sick leaveAccrued vacation leave (if applicable) When applicable, additional days may be used in accordance with: o Oregon Sick Time Law (OSTL) o Oregon Family Leave Act (OFLA) o Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) o Paid Family Medical Leave Insurance (PFMLI) When an employee qualifies for OFLA/FMLA and PFMLI simultaneously, the leave allotments shall run concurrently. • Up to four (4) days may be taken without pay
Family Illnesses. In the case of illness of any child residing with the employee, and when no one at the employee's home other than the employee can provide for the needs of the ill child, the employee shall be entitled to use up to a maximum of two (2) days of employee's own paid sick leave at any one time for this purpose.
Family Illnesses. In the case of illnesses of an immediate member of a family of an employee, and where there is no one at the home other than the employee who can provide for the needs of the ill person, the employee may, with the approval of the Director or Organization Development, be entitled to use a maximum of five (5) accumulated sick-leave days per illness to care for the member of the family who is ill.
