Common use of Extracurricular Clause in Contracts

Extracurricular. Contracts for extracurricular/supplemental positions shall be issued for a specific period of time and shall expire at the end of their term without the necessity of notice of non-renewal. A one percent (1%) additional percentage shall be paid to teachers when the uninterrupted service in a specific extracurricular position (i.e., Drama) exceeds nine (9) years inside the district. A teacher who qualifies for the additional one percent (1%) shall notify the Superintendent in writing upon return of his/her signed contract. Should the Board decide to create the following positions, the following supplemental salaries shall be paid***: % POSITION
