Common use of Extension of Deadlines Clause in Contracts

Extension of Deadlines. The time limits provided in this Article shall be strictly observed but may be extended by mutual consent of the parties. If the Board or its agents fail to meet the specified time limits as stated in this Article, the remedy sought by the grievant shall be construed as granted. If the grievant or Association fail to meet the specified time limits as stated in this Article, said grievance shall be deemed abandoned. In the event a grievance is filed after May 15 of any year, the time lines established in Section 2 of this Article shall be met even though the official school year may have ended. All grievances shall be presented and discussed during non-teaching hours.
