Common use of Extension of Contract Clause in Contracts

Extension of Contract. Upon written application by the Engineer, the Agency Chief Contracting Officer (“ACCO”) may grant an extension of time for performance of the Contract. Said application must state, at a minimum, in detail, each cause for delay, the date the cause of the alleged delay occurred, and the total number of delay in days attributable to such cause. The ruling of the ACCO shall be final and binding as to the allowance of an extension and the number of days allowed.
