  • Personal Illness Employees may use accumulated sick leave for hours off due to personal illness. The employee may be required to furnish a medical certificate from a qualified physician as evidence of illness or physical disability in order to qualify for paid sick leave as per District practice. Accumulated sick leave may also be granted for such time as is actually necessary for office visits to a doctor, dentist, optometrist, etc.

  • Disability and Death Employee’s employment hereunder will be terminated immediately upon his disability (as determined for purposes of Employer’s long-term disability plan) or his death. If Employee’s employment is terminated due to such disability or death, Employer will be required to pay to Employee or Employee’s estate, as the case may be, in addition to the amounts payable under Employer’s short-term and long-term disability plans or life insurance plans (as applicable), only his base salary and accrued vacation, earned through the date of termination, and to the extent required under the terms of any benefit plan or this Agreement, the vested portion of any benefit under such plan. Employee or Employee’s estate, as the case may be, will not by operation of this provision forfeit any rights in which Employee is vested at the time of Employee’s disability or death.

  • Personal Illness and Injury Leave 1. Full-time employees shall be entitled to ten (10) days leave with full-time pay for each school year for purposes of personal illness or injury. Employees who work less than full-time shall be entitled to that portion of the ten (10) days leave as the number of hours per week of scheduled duty relates to the number of hours for a full-time employee in a comparable position.

  • Personal/Xxxxx’s Leave 7.3.1 All full time employees shall be entitled to accrue paid personal / carer's leave on the basis of 10 days per year (or pro-rata thereof for any period less than one year). Part-time employees are entitled to a pro-rata benefit. Paid personal / carer's leave is cumulative.

  • Personal Harassment (a) The Employer and the Union recognize the right of employees to work in an environment free from personal harassment and agree that employees who engage in personal harassment may be disciplined.
