Employment as Substitutes. It is the intent of the County Office to utilize employees in a layoff status as substitutes whenever possible and if the employee so desires. A substitute list will be maintained and those employees in a layoff status who have applied will be given first consideration for substitute assignments within the classification from which the employee was laid off.
