Common use of Emergency Pay Clause in Contracts

Emergency Pay. In the event of a major snowstorm, any employee who reports late for work, but in any event within the first four (4) hours of their scheduled shift, shall receive pay for the full shift. It is understood that overtime rates of pay will not apply until the employee has completed eight (8) working hours.
