Eligibility Lists. A. All Promotional Lists shall stay in effect for a two (2) year period unless all individuals on the list have been certified for promotion.
Eligibility Lists. If an eligibility list is to be established, it shall be used for a similar position in the same area of selection as indicated on the original posting and shall be valid for a period of up to twelve (12) months.

The term of each eligibility list shall be fixed by the Commission for a period of one (1) year, unless the list is exhausted prior to the expiration of the one (1) year period or if the list contains less than three (3) candidates. The list shall not be extended beyond the one (1) year period. The City agrees to schedule examinations upon notice of a vacancy in the position of sergeant or lieutenant.
Eligibility Lists. The Human Resources Department may determine the expiration date of a list of eligible candidates for the classes of sergeant, lieutenant and captain. The expiration date for the list of eligible candidates shall be provided on the job posting for these classes.

If the promotional list is exhausted, the bibliography for the promotional examination shall be published no later than thirty (30) days after the exhaustion of the current promotional list. The promotional examination shall be administered no sooner than seventy-five (75) days after the exhaustions of the current promotional list and no later than ninety (90) days after the exhaustions of the current promotional list. The actual promotion day, or official declining of promotion, of the last person on the Promotional List is to be considered the exhaustion date.

(a) Eligibility lists are lists of qualified candidates established following a competition to fill an immediate need or anticipated needs for identical or similar positions to those for which it was established. These lists shall be valid for a period not exceeding twelve (12) months from the dates they were established.
